How to book
Please book through our online portal located here. Full payment is due at time of booking. Please email us directly for event bookings.

How do I check in once I arrive at the studio?
Our studio entrance is the first door on your right once you enter 411 Richmond Street East. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Instructions for accessing the studio will be emailed to you prior to your booking. If your reservation is on a weekend or after 6 pm, a staff member will text you their number to be let in as the front door to the building locks on weekends and after 6 pm.

Do you host events?
We host a limited number of events in our space for up to 50 people for a seated reception and 75 for a standing event. Please contact us directly if you are interested in the space for an event (please note, that events cannot be booked through our online booking system).

What is the capacity of each studio space?
Studio I and II - 16 people, Full Studio 30

Vendors must be included in the capacity count. If you are looking at over 12 people please contact us directly at hello@archivestudios.ca

Do you have a foyer?
Yes. Personal belongings cannot be stored in the foyer or change rooms under any circumstance unless you have booked the full studio out.

Is the space wheelchair accessible?
We are located on the ground floor with 2 steps up to access the main entrance building. There is a delivery ramp off of Ontario street that can work for wheelchairs. If you need access to the ramp just let our team know to ensure it will work for you or your client’s needs. Please note there is NO accessible bathroom in the building.

Are pets allowed?
No - unless a service dog. We LOVE dogs, but if you arrive to your shoot with a pet we will not be able to let the animal in. This a rule enforced by our building management.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
If a cancellation is needed 72 hours before the booking, a credit will be applied for a one time reschedule allowance (if rescheduling occurs again, no credit will be applied). This credit will be available for use for 6 months. If the re-booking is cancelled, a credit will not be applied. If the cancellation occurred with less than 72 hours of notice, no refund or credit will be applied. Archive Studios reserves the right to cancel or reschedule if extenuating circumstances occur.

ABOUT THE STUDIOS

Are there makeup stations onsite?
Yes, we have 2 makeup stations available onsite in our common area. The make-up station is included in the full studio booking.

Is there a kitchen facility onsite?
We do have a small prep kitchen onsite, but is only available for events.

What is included in each studio? Are there steamers onsite and clothing racks?
A list of furniture and props are listed on our site under each studio. A moveable clothing rack is located in each studio. Steamers are also available at reception free of charge.

Are the studios soundproof and can they accommodate video shoots?
Soft music is allowed if kept at a low volume. Please contact us directly if you are interested in booking a shoot that requires audio/video recording.

Are there bathrooms?
Bathrooms are located down the hall from the studio with key access only.

Is lighting equipment included or needed?
Our studio is a natural light studio with ample natural lighting. Lighting equipment is not included but permitted to bring in.

Are there blinds or curtains for the windows onsite?
There are adjustable blinds over each window.

Where is the nearest parking?
There is paid street parking along Richmond or a Green P parking lot located a block down Richmond Street East (Richmond/Sherbourne Garage).

Can I wear my outdoor shoes in the studio?
We kindly ask that no outside shoes be worn in the studios during winter months. Outdoor shoes are permitted as long as they are clean and don’t track in dirt. Shoe covers are available if needed.

Can furniture be moved from one studio to another?
Furniture cannot be exchanged or moved from one studio to another.
